Cages of pets seemed more alluring to me as I saw those heads drowned in books.... The words " LIBRARY " were etched above the door, but the people inside acted as those words were just for show ! .... Studyroom might have been an appropriate term, but in an attempt to disguise the stress feeding up in potential students, they might have thought to make it more pleasant..
