Mental Manipulation, Blackmailing, Psychological Torture,
have always been the norm for people to make others do their bidding,
Politicians and Dictators alike. But even though these techniques of Emotional Control have evolved forward for what seems like a millennia.
[ These were very essential if you wanted to cease control over Lands and wring Info out of spies !]
But imagine going one step further.........
Now you might picture me as an Evil Scientist, laughing my head off as I write down this passage, thinking of taking control of puny little humans with his evil little minions.
 [ Sounds eerily familiar, doesn't it !]
But watching Biotechnology progress at such a rapid pace, and the investors equally intrigued to invest in this sector, has brought forth both hope and fear for the media to squabble about !
Imagine this for a second, You got a guy you hate, or a girl you love.
 [ Whichever makes you comfy to think !]
Now, you want to reciprocate the feelings that you have to those people, instead having to take the effort of expressing such strong emotions, you can pop them a pill to have them feel the same emotions.
In other words, make them fear at the sight of you, or have their hearts skip a beat when they lay their eyes upon you ! This eliminates the need for you to physically interact and mentally manipulate to merely suggest these feelings to their minds and wait for them  to process the said emotions.
Instant Emotions, in a pill or an injection away !
Now the reader might be amused, This isn't some cartoon where you drink or eat something to get psychologically manipulated and stuff !!
We are intelligent beings after all !
We are at the Top of the food chain for a reason, damn it!
Well, the reader is right to a certain extent, but one must remember that everything psychological, is also biological, and Humans have come a long way since they discovered some herbs and weeds, along with some booze, could infect the intellect to a some extent.
Harnessing the bio-chemistry of the Brain has become a crucial point of research in recent years, 
to the point where Elon Musk had a monkey play a game on a computer screen, just by mere thoughts. One could expect more in the frontiers of  cutting-edge research in Biomedical and Biotechnology in the years to come.
Now, back to the topic of manipulating men.
 [ and women, don't wanna leave them out of the picture, do we !]
Interrogation would go on smoothly with a simple sip of mind-altering substances, making suggestions in the minds of the public for your political agenda, bidding Leaders and Powerful men to make decisions in the way you want it, are some of the more darker uses....

If I were to put this in perspective to my anime-loving brethren, and paying homage to my all time favorite anime- Naruto,
This would be like Danzo Shimura activating Kotoamatsukami using Shisui's Sharingan to manipulate the 5 kage in the Pre-War conference !
[ If you know, you know ! ]
We can also see use these newly developed tech to accelerate the sense of time by increasing the frequency of thought process, this can lead to decreased jail sentences, as inmates would feel like having spent a century behind bars, which in reality would be a matter of weeks.
We can also expect to unlock hidden features of the human intelligence, like replaying memories or telekinesis to some extent ! [ Like in some episodes of the series- Black Mirror]
In conclusion, I am excited as hell and scared shitless at the same time as I witness the recent developments in this domain.
This can lead to a Utopia like never before, or can be the harbingers to a World of Oppression which would leave a legacy like never before in Posterity.
My fingers will remain crossed in the years to come.
